  • Pursuant to notification no. 63/2020 issued by the Ministry of Commerce on last 28th August 2020, exercise of § 93 (A) of the Trademark Law 2019, provided that all trademarks owner previously registered under Registration Law at the Office of the Registrar of Deeds (ORD) can be re-registered or file their old trade marks via WIPO online filing system.
  • Submission of old trade marks application can be file through WIPO filing  applicable account users through trademark service companies or law firms or legal service providers.
  • The applicants will require to submit following documents for filing of old trademarks;
    1. Previously registered trademarks at ORD;
    2. Registered document registered at ORD (true copy);
    3. Cautionary notice issued at local newspaper or public announcement;
    4. Evidence of use of the marks within the market;
    5. Evidence of advertisement of owned marks for promotion;
    6. Tax or Expense receipt;
    7. Evidence of the name change or transferred from the original owners of the trademarks previously registered at the ORD;
    8. Other supporting evidences.
  • According to such notification, submission of filling are applicable starting from 1st October 2020 via WIPO online filing system.
